Try Cedar Creek area,Cedron creek and the deep water around the big rock out of King creek there is some timber around that rock with deep water. Also the main river channel around the island. Good Luck

Lol ain't nothing more awesome than fishing 2ft of water and actually seeing the big ole catfish literally charge and slam the bait lol my favorite way to fish in the wring when Temps are rising water temp is slowly rising and is between 50 and 60 degrees

I have done well launching at Steele creek and fishing the shallow trees directly across from the point/bend tithe south/east of the ramp, about 3/4 mile towards the dam and to the left Google map it you can't miss the loads of shallow trees. Kinda near where the house fell into the lake

Bait was Easy once we found it in 30-32' on wind blown - mix of Big Shad, Carp looking fish and Small drum all 6-12"
We fish shallow tress in 2-6' and MadCatter hit a Dink about 7 lbs then scouting around more and anchored in 32-36' near the Burned Out House and I got another Dink about 6 lbs and we both lost a better fish - wrapped me up in submerged trees.

Were you fishing near the bend/point and the flat near steele creek? Just curious because I haven't been down there yet this year. Still trying to find them on Granbury since it is so close to home. No luck yet this year for the blues on Granbury, but tons of large channels. Waco is my go to lake for the blues....
