Been out to the lake several times since Christmas, fished multiple brush piles at different depths on lake grapevine but couldn't manage to get many fish. Usually about 2 fish per trip in about an hour or so of fishing. Does anybody know where the fish currently are on the boat slips right now? Want to catcha few good eaters and take some of my friends out to put on some fish but I can't even catch them myself. Would like to hear everybody's feedback

Not enough water in the slips here...

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

On GV most if not all the marinas have moved farther out into the lake so the brush piles under the slips are really not there anymore is my thought. I know where the good slips at twin coves used to be but that was when there was 30-35ft of water under them. If you could get in between the slips and the shore you might locate some old christmas trees. Whether there are fish on them is the big question. I aim to find out myself in a few weeks. I used to fish the old Marshall creek bridge but its on dry land now.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

Down here in the San Antonio area been catching em in water anywhere from 12 to 21 feet. They are all holding by brush piles. Have also been getting some suspended in 5 to 7 feet of water in 20 feet pools.
