I know they're there, but I can't get a bite. What is the best catfish bait for fishing in a stock tank?

Try a "stink bait" or prepared bait if you are fishing for channel cats

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Large earthworms, if you can catch a perch out of the tank then try cutting into small chunks or strips, good punch bait is good
