Wanting to get a flounder gigging light that has the battery in the shaft. Not want to lug around an external battery. Where to get one or how to make one? Plus what are halls thoughts on them?

I always had mixed results when using battery powered lights when gigging. I always used my reliable coleman lantern. It's lighter, easier to carry, and puts a whole lot more light. Just my 0.02

This will tell you everything you need to know. I just ordered the 20 watt. Had great success with the 1 watt flood, spot combo. Ran it with 8 AA batteries attached to a case on the upper part of the light shaft.
