I was told that you can take your same outside the hull transducer and use it as an inside the hull transducer. This is an HDS 7 gen 1 type transducer. I would like to hear any thoughts on this. Thanks.

Yes for a 2D transducer. The puck styles are easier though since they have a flat face.

Of course you have to use some common sense and do that in a hull suitable for a shoot-thru application

For clarification Wayne is referring to the 2D (standard) signal. Side Scan/Down Scan will not work inside the hull.

Mike (TexBbq on here) did mine at his shop in Sanger. Very reasonable price and now I read 2D at 55 mph which is top speed for me. Great guy if you're looking for some help to do it.
