I would think during an earthquake they're losing their minds. However, I have no idea about after one. I would like to know if they can sense an earthquake...

You Irving boys keep your crazy earthquakes over there.
Was it thirty something in the last few month?
What the heck? Surely affects our little green friends.

Not unless you are in your boat and it's a 7.0 or greater.

They have to affect the fish some way... I mean, it's an earthquake for crying out loud! I would think the fish get into a panic mode. But bass are such interesting creatures, I wonder if they can sense an earthquake. Maybe not 5 minutes before but maybe like 15 seconds before it happens.

when I kept bass in an aquarium and there was a loud noise or the tank would get bumped they would go on high alert - their fins would all be erect and they were ready for something to happen...then they would go back to the relax mode pretty quick....I can't imagine earth quakes really effect the fish unless the dam breaks and their flop's on the mud....just say'n...

Go with the buzzbait over a spook during an earthquake.

Fishing usually gets better and better right up to the start of the earthquake, but that post-quake fishing is really tough. Smaller baits and lighter line are the key to getting those post-quake fish.

Could an earthquake cause a lake floor to crack or separate and cause the water to drain?

Could an earthquake cause a lake floor to crack or separate and cause the water to drain? I'd certainly think so if it were bigger than a 3.0. That's just a guess though.
