Fishing has been fair so far this year. Hit the Guadalupe River and caught a nice mix of Bluegill,Crappie, and Bass. Had to really work hard for what I caught. Fished six hours from 7:30am till 1:30pm and caught a total of 20 fish. Did manage a couple of very nice Bass and Crappie. Also located a school of Bluegill and was able to get a few of them. The bite completely turned off at 1pm. All fish were holding close to docks. Fish were in 10 to 15 feet of water. Worms,Jigs, and minnows were used. All fish were released to fight again! So far the times I have been out this year the bite has been fair each time. The Bluegill have been very hard to come by. Catching a few Gills,Crappie, and Bass. It just don't get any better. fish

Nice fish and an awesome report Chuck. I have been hitting the Crappie hard. The Crappie bite has slowed down just a little and the Sunfish bite has completely turned off! Been hitting the far east side.

Side Note: What Bluegill you are getting, are they hanging close to docks? Also have you fished any of your ponds this year?

Thanks Curtis for the reply. cheers The only Gills I am getting and they are few and far between hide2 are hanging close to structure in 12 to 15 feet of water. Got a feeling they have moved to 15 to 20 feet of water. Your best bet is to hit docks in that depth and also look for brush piles and ledges in 15 to 25 feet of water. hmmm

Thanks for the information Chuck! I have not fished a creek in awhile. Thinking about hitting the Cibolo early this week after work. Any recent reports?

Side Note: Fished today on Mcqueeney at my friends docks. No Sunnies but did manage a few very nice Channel Cats in the 5 to 8 pound range. Man can they fight! Also Jeff and I will be hitting the far east end of the Guadalupe.

Fished the Cibolo for about an hour last week. No Gills only a couple of bass with one going about 3 or 4 pounds. Fished with both Jeff and Steve a couple of times on the Guadalupe and the Crappie bite is good. Sent you a PM.
