War Eagle jig heads, they come in a wire frame, but not too flimzy, I throw it with 65lb braid so when I do get hung up, I can straighten the hook out and get the rig back. I like to use the Double ZZ sway back swim baits, as the tail action is three times as much as what you get with the Yum swim baits.

Picasso jig heads and either V&M Thunder Shad or Keitech swimmers. You might want to consider the Picasso Flashback, Bait Ball Extreme, or School E Rig. 3 problems with the Yumbrella mobs: 1. To much lift - The spinners produce to much lift when reeling it and cause the bait to rise too much. 2. Swivel breakage - Eventually, in most cases sooner with the Yumbrella product, the swivel you attach the jig head to will break off leaving you with a baitless wire. All Picasso rigs have a sleeve that holds the wire together where the swivel meets the jig head. So instead throwing a 4 bait on a 5 wire rig OR throwing it away, all you have to do is change the swival. 3. The head has a swivel loop - Most of the other rigs have solid head loop which promotes spinning of the entire rig. Picasso uses an 80lb swivel loop in the head that allows the rig to run true and not spin your line. Picasso Catalog http://user-pyajmgi.cld.bz/Picasso-Catalog#44

Depends on how deep you want to go. Generally I will use 1/8 ounce jigheads with a standard gauge 4/0 hook and 65 pound braid. That way if I get it hung up I can easily pull it loose. However, because of the no stretch of braid I use a soft tip rod. If I need to go deeper I will increase the size of the jighead. As far as plastic baits I get the 3.75 inch swim minnow from Bass Team Tackle. This swimbait works really well when slow rolling the rig. Hope this helps.

I use 1/8 oz heads and sometimes I'll put 3/8 oz on the bottom two wires. As far as swimbaits, I like to throw smaller ones. I like the Gene Larew sweet swimmers (3.5") in the Threadfin Shad color or the Swimming Fluke Jr. I always up something a little different in the middle and middle whether it's just a different color head, bigger swimbait, or just a different color swimbait.

Up to what depths do you like the 1/8 oz heads? when it is time to go deeper do you just switch to 3/8 oz? I'm asking because I fish 1/8 oz up to about 25' but I feel like it comes up too easily if I don't watch my retreive.

Bisset, If you still need your rig to be able to fish the shallower depths, but want to fish them deep some too. Try mixing in some Lake Fork Magic shads in with your swim baits. They have a little less lift when you retrieve them.

I changed all the snaps to split rings on a couple of mine. Although I have seen double digit fish caught on this rig bone stock out of the box.
