what are some good colors for lake palestine?  You might want to pm Pepop for info on the best jig colors. He lives there and makes some awesome jigs for the local guides.

Welcome to the forum and Let me tell you young fella, those 2 you tied for the Jig Swap are AWESOME!! If you were to hit Palestine right now, you better have a solid Dark Brown jig with you. I tie one and call it Joe Dirt (cuz if you drop it in the dirt, you may never find it) and it has accounted for a BUNCH of crappie over the last 4-5 weeks. Blue/Chartreuse & Purple/Chartreuse are also good colors for Palestine right now.
