Which one would you choose? I saw that Cabela's has a swim bait/A Rig rod for that price. Any other manufacturers have a decent rod in that price point? Not trying to break the bank on a bait I don't throw all the time.

Skeet Reese worm/jig rod or swim bait rod will work just fine and can be purchased at the price you are looking for.

Denali jadewood 7'11 rig rod will run about $130 but handles the rig amazingly and doubles as a swimbait/flippin stick and has a lifetime warranty

I fished with a guy in the Ray Scott Championship on Wheeler Lake that throws his A-rigs on an Academy H20 Ethos 7'3 or 7'6" Heavy action. He had several highend rods on the deck but used that for the A-rig. I asked him about it and he handed it to me and insisted I cast it some. Rod was really light and he paired it with a revo winch. I've thrown 3/4oz spinnerbaits that were more of a workout to fish than his A-rig setup. I liked it so much, I went to academy and looked around. Found a 7'3" on sale for $49 so I picked it up. I haven't had a chance to fish it since buying it but I will be putting it to use over the next few weeks. Coach

Tacklewarehouse has a skeet reece 7'5" alabama rig rod on sale for the holidays. I'm thinking of picking one up myself.

Got one for myself and one for my dad. Can't wait to test it out.

They were selling them for $49.99 but the website says sold out. FYI - I've got one and it works great with A-rigs.

Be safe,

Tacklewarehouse had their Powell Endurance umbrella rig rod (model #795, I think) 7'9" on sale for 118.99 but sold out. Too bad. That's a bad [censored] rod for 10xd, umbrella rigs, big spinner baits, and other heavy lures. I have two of them.

The Duckett Ghost is one of the best $100 rods there is and it looks amazing, the veritas is a really good rod but they run higher in their ratings, like a medium action is closer to a medium-heavy, medium-heavy is more like a heavy and so on,the same goes for their tapers, I also really like the 13 Fishing Omen and the TFO Signature series also $100 is actually made by Loomis and has an incredible lifetime warranty. I don't think you could go wrong with any of those.

I just ordered a diawa big swimbait rod. Its the 8' xh model. It had lots of good reviews and I didn't want to be under powered. I will be throwing the a-rig along with hudds and other big swimbaits with it. We'll see how it performs but its $109 so its in your range and is actually rated for 3-10oz baits. They have other actions too which are rated for lighter or larger baits.
