received some pears and pecans for a gift this week, sooooo, made a couple pies. the crust on the pear pie came apart. probably would have been better off cutting the top crust in strips and doing a lattice thing. the other pie is a caramel/bourbon pecan. i'll eat on the pear a little, but trying to keep my hands off the pecan till tomorrow's Christmas Eve dinner with the family. now where is that Blue Bell.
