I fished jigs and flutter spoons on road beds and ridges and pitched jigs at the big timber along a creek from 11 ft to 5 ft for a few hours. I caught nothing also. Heading back out today to pitch jibs on some different creeks and I'll go with jigging spoons on the main lake.

Here is a thought though. I saw very few shad on the roadbeds and ridges I fished yesterday and I'm seeing no shad in the creeks.

Is it just me or is Fork fishing really difficult right now. Two trips within 10 days and only one bass in the boat and lost another one. No other bites either.
Don't want to start another debate thread about water release but do you think the release of water either by the dam or being pulled for Dallas has an effect on the bass?

Of course it does. I see it this way, if our homes were closing in around us and we couldn't get out we would panic and act differently. Same thing with the bass when water drops at a rapid pace.

Is there a set schedule of when Dallas pulls water,or certain times of the day?

Tough for me today, only two fish...found 5 Saturday late afternoon in the last hour before sunset in 4 to 8 feet of water on spinnerbait and hollow bellies, lost some kind of monster that popped 25 pound test in same stretch of water when it sawed me off on shallow stick ups. Never saw it. Missed a couple of bites. Almost all the bites were very subtle with rod just starting to load up. All bites on super slow retrieve on bottom. Went back out for a few hours that night and got this one in 12 feet of water around 10 pm. Just over 7 lbs., 22 inches.
