Looking for someone around DFW who can built a casting deck for my bowrider so I can put a trolling motor on my boat.

I could definitely make that! I'm a carpenter and welder by trade, I build fences, decks, arbors and automatic drivegates that I fabricate completely onsite from some of the steel square tubing you see in the pictures. I have the tools to do this as well but I would recommend using galvanized steel instead of stainless due to cost and welding capabilities. This is definitely a project I would love doing though and I have access to this material at wwholesale prices through my supplier which is literally almost 1/10th the price you would pay at home depot or Lowe's. I would want to talk more about it with you before I could give you a price but this is definitely in my wheelhouse would be really cool to make, not to mention a great idea. My number is 469-733-2196 and my name is Jeff Slater with Slater Fence and Gate. Thanks

I have made similar devices. I suggest that you stick with aluminum for corrosion resistance combined with lighter weight. You could use thinner sheet if you use I or L reinforcements on the bottom.

To keep from scratching the boat when you install and remove the deck you might want to consider edging with TrimLok seal material: http://www.trimlok.com/
