I need a good pair to get. The last two pairs I have got are combo pairs with cutters and other things built in and are garbage. Any brands you all recommend?

I think the Texas Tackle are the ones I saw on a few you tube videos as well. Thanks for the input. And I think they are cheaper on TW than amazon.

I was in Hobby Lobby with my daughter the other day, and saw some split ring pliers, that look exactly like the Texas Tackle pliers. I'm still ordering the TT pliers and will keep the HL ones as back up. Cabelas also stocks the TT pliers, very easy to use.

look like the right ones. i got mine at fun and sun a long time ago. just make sure they say texas tackle on the box lock...that's the pivot point of the pliers.

I bought a REALLY good pair of the Snap-On truck today. Kinda expensive. But I guess they are worth it.
Part number E703BCG. They are spring loaded and super precision.
$50.

Ron over at Reel time Rods has a great pair. They are strong with return springs on them and easy to use.
