I've only been throwing a net since about September, I was catching a lot of threadfin shad out by the Dam at the Beach Drive location until recently.
I've read that Shad go deep and into creeks once the water temperature reaches 50 degrees, I don't have a fish finder.
I was just wondering if any of you guys knew if:
The water temperature is/is staying at 50 degrees?
Do they go into Benbrook creeks in large numbers during the winter?

They probably would but none of the creeks have water in them now.

Yeah...the shad are already deeper. Went on a bit run the other night...and it was very difficult. Started at 6pm and went til about 1am or so. And only got about 30 good 9-12 inch gizzards..we were aiming to get around 50. The shad are moving deep now. But also are not grouped up very tight yet...which makes it difficult
