What ramps have enough water and a dock to tie to? Taking a couple out tomorrow so they can see the lake. Thanks!

I don't know about tying to the dock, but we almost always launch at tower bay park.
I suppose if you wanted to get fancy you could have them park and meet you at the fishing barge (no $$$ to park) and pull up and let them board and go play? Sunrise is beautiful from there anyways with an expansive view of the entire lake pretty well.
Surprised to see a question like this form someone who lives in Little Elm and installs marine electronics and trolling motors lol... not a fan of your home lake or something?n

I haven't been on Lewisville in a year but also launched at Little Elm park. They haven't put in the dock at the new ramp yet. Besides, this is an older couple and want to make it easy on them.

Not Tower bay only 1 foot of water on the dock, try the state park on the other side of I-35 next to intake cove, it has 6 feet of water at the dock, Hidden cove is $20 to launch a boat. Stewart creek still has some water on the dock also. Good luck lake is still fishing slow.

That's why I specified not for the dock but launch there is good, and suggested just having them meet at the fishing barge to load onto the boat. Would be very simple way to go about it for an elderly couple. Could also have them meet you at Sneaky petes docks. Either of those dock locations are easier than using any of the boat ramp docks for boarding I'd say, especially for elderly couple. Way more room, more stable, less crowded, nice and calm way to go about it

Yeah, I wasn't judging, just always surprised when people aren't constantly on the water at the closest lake to them haha. I'd be out every day if I had a boat for it. I take my pond prowler out on the water more often than most people on here use their boats... and while I may not have to pay for gas for it unless I bring the outboard, and even then it's tiny... I still load it in my truck bed and fish tons of lakes within 2 hours of north Dallas. The only thing that keeps me off the water is work, which I sadly do too dang much!

Don't know about the other locations, but I've seen some that have very steep angles on the walkways with the lake being low. You could also pull into one of the slips and tie off on four corners so you have the least movement when they board. I missed last weekend, but I'll be out tomorrow.

What's wrong with the new one in Little Elm? It has a little docking station for transfer.
