I finally figured out what to do with all the old jig heads I've been collecting. Dress em up in some new marabou and a bit of chenille and send them out to dance again. I also bought some cool looking micro jig heads at Academy and tied up a few jigs for crappie fishing. I just used the same fly tying techniques as that for making wooly buggers and cranked out a few. I field tested the wooly buggers about a week ago and caught a few small bass. Next Friday I hope to get back on the water to test some jigs.

They surely work for crappies.

Photo was taken on Colorado River in Columbus. I was fishing downstream from Beasons Park.
