Two days with the Willmans and friends from
Metarie, La. Target was speckled trout. With the
river unusually high for this time of the year, we
headed to calm clear waters behind Breton
Island yesterday. Few Trout with a nice mix of
redfish and sheepshead.
Today we were blessed with a great window of
opportunity to fish ahead of a cold front. We
headed down river for a one stop nonstop fish
bite. Speckled trout(many 3-4lb), redfish,
drumfish and sheepshead. A gorgeous day it
turned out to be. They kept me busy and
entertained.
Capt Jesse headed down river as well with
Tommy and Phil from Alabama. Target was a
freezer full of white trout. One stop and white
trout it was. 400 white trout with a mix of redfish
and drumfish. Stories to talk about while the fun
begins Saturday for a Bama and an LSU game. I
love my home town Venice, La. It's an amazing
place. We have openings for this Friday and
Saturday. We have all inclusive fishing, lodging
and meals. Cast and blast as well.
