Let me start this off by saying I am not selling anything.....

I have had a lot more time than money recently so decided to try to make my bait investment go a little farther, it might be a nice project when you couldn't make it to the fishing hole. It could actually be a good project to do with the kids. I'm doing it for salt water, but I know it could work with fresh water species too.

I'm too lazy to type all this more than once so I started an ongoing thread running about the subject if you might be interested HERE

If this is against the rules, sorry, just wanted to start up some thoughts on the subject.

Haha read the other posts. You ever try using the dried fish and shrimp as a base or clam juice? The dried fish can be blended with the shrimp and clam juice and make a real strong base to scent your bait. Use made some and soak my regular baits in it its kinda like gulp but natural. I do it in the garage though.

I haven't but might try it. The fresh stuff is pretty ripe as it is. Mullet is brutal. I thought about using menhaden oil instead of veggie oil, that stuff is very fishy smelling, but not until I get a garage lab again. lol I tried them out over the weekend, they lasted a long time, and the crabs loved them, that was about it so far. Then again nobody caught anything along the bayou while I was there, so doubt if it was the bait.
