 This is the story of a paddle with TXWhitacre on the middle Brazos River back in September. Those that have fished with Mike know what a great kayak angler he is, but then throw in some creepy looking plastics and a 'scary' airboat, and you have a timely fish tale.  good stuff, fellas! I recall using those lizards as far back as I can remember. I think I may have some in an old tacklebox that are probably 40 years old

A great article written by a great guy about a great guy! Good Job Bert! Mike's videos of kayak fishing at O.H. Ivie is what sparked my interest in kayak fishing. I am immersed in kayak fishing thanks to Mike's videos and Josh and his staff at Mountain Sports. I have fished with Mike and I am looking forward to someday fishing with you and Mike together!

Great story, I feel very lucky to fish with Mike as much as I do, we always have a great time and nearly always learn something new.

Great article Bert!! Mike is a staple in the North Texas kayak seen. Oh In case you didn't see ,he got big bass at APT fall shoot out.... No surprise there!

Thank you Bert for the wonderful write up. Thanks guys for the kind comments. I really enjoyed my time on the water with you making the video. Lately it seems I use my fishing a medium for having someone/subject to photograph or video.
I know having the camera in my hands has maybe cost me a few fish, but I also get some shots, like the one where you catch a fish on que. I get just as much out of that as I do from actually catching a fish.
I really feel more comfortable behind the scenes and not the subject. Thank you.
