My last motor was a 2005 Yamaha OX66 200 and I was the second owner. I bought the boat and put over 700 hours on my Humminbird Electronics so motor had some hours. Ring Free, Quicksilver Premium, and Stabil and sold the boat with no major problems except general maintenance.

Was a good motor. In a 250 SHO now so I hope for the same luck.

They blow up all of the time for different reasons. Most being owner neglect involving the fuel system, except for you know what.

most of the time they go down is lack of service on hpdi s they recommend filters every 100 hrs some folks don't do anything until they start to lose performance then they try liquid mechanic an by that time a cylinder is down. no more fuel an oil that they use both need to clean an good.

When they first came out with the SHO there were some problems, so many of the older SHO's that you see will have had a power head replaced. Supposedly the problems have been corrected. I hope so, because I am buying one next week!
