 Bessie heights on Labor Day** PICS ADDED

Went out today with two daughters, a son the wife and a grand son. Just a day on the Neches river. Stopped at an old standby hole at Bessie heights, and the tide was just starting to ebb. Folks were bailing and I was worried it may be slow. First line hits the water and Wife brings in a slot red. Then the grandson catches two back to back.
Of course paw paw is the guide and only baits hooks and fixes back lashes and stuff. We did real good to just be killing the day with the kids. Paw paw looks like a genius for finding the spot and redfish on the half shell is on the way. Its great to spend time with the kids and family even if I only worked as a deck hand I enjoyed the Day. That old marsh still is a good spot.
I will try to post some pics when MIMI lets me have some.

If Paw Paw didn't get grumpy he's the kid's hero for life. Way to keep the tradition going!  Hey I fixed two backlashes rerigged two lines and didn't even fuss when a whole spool of monofilament went overboard. Paw Paw is generally not grumpy(while fishing), but if crying and fussing starts paw paw will tell everyone that there is no crying or fussing in fishing! with a grumpy face!
