You are probably going to find out to fix the transom will cost more than the boat is worth. You can rig yourself if you want to get a few more years out of it. To fix it right is going to cost a bunch of money and if the transom is gone I would bet the stringers are shot also.

Had a buddy recently replace the transom on a 1999 champion. Boat was in great shape just bad transom. Totally worth it
|

I re-done my transom and stringers on a 1984 Skeeter Wrangler. Lots of work but worth it. That boat is more solid today than when I bought it brand new. Used a product called SeaCast, good stuff.
