I fish from a pedal kayak.
Lake Belton is one of the lakes that I consider to be within easy reach from home. I have never fish Lake Belton but it has some interesting features. It has been stocked with Hybrids which I enjoy fishing for. But looking at the contour maps the lake is deep with a rather sharp drop off over most of the lower end. I also know the the lake is clear water, not stained. I am used to trolling humps and ridges and I am not seeing features that look fishable on my Hot Maps. And Hot Maps shows timber areas which I interpret as trolling snags. I also note this lake is rather long with several access points. Searching TFF I don't see many posts for Lake Belton.
Are there any guides that fish Lake Belton?
Anybody willing to part with any hints as to how to fish lake Belton?

I kayak fish Belton but never specifically target hybrids. I'm still a rookie when it comes to kayak fishing Belton but we have caught a few in the past trolling rattle traps early morning parallel to the banks when the shad are running. I'm still in the learning phase but I'm going to try to find a school of them this weekend using my fish finder and see if I can get one to hit a vertically fished slab. I'll let you know if I find any.

Also, I found this reading the reports. Looks like Sure Strike is a guide from Belton area.

I'm more of black and smallie guy but there's tons of whites n hybrids in Belton. There is loads of timber in the lake but they're is a few sand flats and or areas where it's isolated to the shallow water. I've caught whites n hybrids jigging or casting rattle traps on many spots in the past that I've also seen people troll with luck, Jubilee sand bar, temple lake park, girlscout point and bull branch(some isolated brush deep here), the long creek channel just west west of franks marina(got a dirty nickname for this place forget the real name) and Blora. I'm sure somebody more in tune with the hybrids will chime in but if not those might be some spots to check out. I was out bass fishing the other night and there was a bunch of boats on the temple lake flat I assume they where chasing the hybrids n whites there, good launch spots right there too.

At this time of the year you will see several boats congregated around features in the sand flats between Temple Lake Park and the water tower. It is pretty open water, 20'+ and can get rough with the wind or from boats on the weekends. You can put in from the south ramp of Temple Lake Park or from the park on opposite side of the lake. At certain times of the year, the gulls will tell you exactly where to fish. And yes, Lake Belton is one of the better hybrid lakes in Texas.

Well I went fishing Friday morning and caught a few small bass and a channel cat trolling a rattle trap but no hybrids. I did witness something I have never seen in freshwater which I assume was a school of hybrids. I was trolling the north side of the dam heading towards Live Oak Ridge park when I snag an underwater tree/branch. While I'm trying to recover my lure I see and hear the water exploding about 50 yards away from me. I see bait and fish jumping out of the water but I could never ID the fish. It was chaos for about 20-30 seconds then it just stopped. I rushed to tie on another lure but it was too late. Wonder what it could have been? I

Yep schools of whites and or hybrids boiling up some shad maybe even small/large mouth bass too. Usually if you can sink a lure through that mess it's game on!
