After a very poor performance on Lake Amistad to say I was excited to get back to Falcon Lake is an understatement. Late last night I had anglers that fished PTT this weekend call and setup a half day trip I quote "We just want to catch some damn fish. So we linked up in the am and headed out. On about the third cast the funk was over 4 lber which after fishing Amistad looking like a sharelunker. We fished till 11 am and had about 20 in the boat. Joe who didn't weigh a fish at Amistad had the magic bite. He landed a fish that was 26.6 x 16.5 you ask why no weight dead batteries and Joe had a 12 under his belt so we decided to just take photo's and measurements. That fish will make Joe's 11 hour drive a much better one headed back to OK. Any of you guys wondering how fishing is at Falcon I can tell you it is getting better everyday. I say this based on results, granted there are probably no more that 10 boats on the lake at any given time.
Congrats to Ray and Will for the Butt whooping they put on the field at Amistad!!!

Nice fish. I like to see the glass half full there was some nice stringers weighed in last weekend. Better than we have seen in a while and Ray just reminded everyone that there is still fish in Amistad, if you know how to catch them. It's not easy anymore but the fish are there and catchable. Congrats to Ray and Will and congrats to Joe on that 12 lber.

Good to here Falcon is putting out a few. Odds are you put that much talent on any lake and someone will figure something out- as did Ray and Will. So did several others Kudos again to all of those who did well ! On the flip side- there were a LOT of good fishermen who went home like some of those you speak of.. Sounds like the places that are holding some decent fish are few and far between.... If you don't happen to get on the right stuff at the right time- it is TOUGH. I don't care what a few people claim! The numbers compared to years past----are just NOT there at this time.

It would take close to 70 lbs to win a tourney out there a few years ago
