Soft baits seem to catch bigger fish sometimes although, lures catch more.

I prefer soft plastics and jigs too over most things. I rarely use hard baits and when I do I only take a couple crank baits, zara spook puppy, and frogs. I just wanted to see other peoples preferences, thank you for all the responses everyone!

Soft plastics seem to just go with the warmer months. Can't wait for Oct/Nov when they'll be
biting most everything you throw at them-then its cranks to find them and jigs to catch
the big ones.

I've been having most of my luck lately (and not much at that) throwing tubes.

Throw what you have confidence in, keep your eyes and ears open for environmental clues, listen to your instincts, and go with gut feelings.

I'm about 50/50 soft plastics/hardbaits. Depending on the conditions I could just use plastics all day or hardbaits all day.

My favorite ways to fish are topwaters, frogs, spoons, and drop shot. My least favorite way to fish is with hard jerkbaits.

I throw soft plastics and jigs more than I do hard plastics.

I need to start throwing swim baits more than I do, both soft baits and hard baits.

I guess I would label myself as a any ole. Any ole way I can get them to eat is what I like best on that day.
I do best when I go out with a open mind and just fish.
