Went out yesterday for a few hours in the afternoon with the boys. I was marking lots of fish and saw them chasing bait but could not get them to bite my slab, which is all I've ever used out there. I tried the Mepps technique that I have read about on the TFF and first cast ... Wham! We caught several nice Hybrids and now I'm no longer a one-trick-pony.

Nice! I'm a huge fan of the Mepps technique! Thanks to Mr Dennis Christian! Good job for teaching those youngsters how to fish! Looks like ol mother Hubbard did ya good!

That is priceless that picture! We got some last night. Ran out with my neighbor Mark and "ran" into a nice school of hybrids. North wind again in August. Unreal...
