If the wind is blowing into your face, the baitfish are being blown up nere the bank where you're at, which will draw the cats up for an easy meal.

They also like oxygen rich water, Wind blowing on to a bank gets them in a mood to feed.

The wind doesnt blow the bait fish onto the bank. The wind blows all the free floating algae/plankton and everything follows like a domino effect. Bait fish follow the algae and and other food.. And the predatory fish follow the baitfish...you wanna wait til the wind has been slamming the bank you plan on fishing for at least a a half a day to a full day....it takes time for baitfish to find the food and it takes the predatory fish time to find the baitfish...but when it's been blowing for a good 24 hours, that's the time to be hitting that bank..hope this helps!

Might I add.....even better if you can find a windblown bank site off of a point where you can fish different depths of water from one location.

And don't forget the fish can be right on the bank, like within a few feet right in the mud line, you don't always need to make a long cast.

I have tried couple of times with this theory, works pretty consistently. The key is wait till the wind has blowing that direction for a day at least. Timing still matters, early in the morning works well in summer.
