Can anyone help with maybe a few recommendations for good fishing spots in POC? I'm headed down with a few buddies to go fishing, we'll be staying at Clark's. I have a 20' center console and can get into some pretty shallow stuff too. We'd like to get after some trout and then try to grab a few good reds. Any help would be much appreciated since we've never fished over there, most been fishing Baffin Bay Area.

if your boat can handle a little bit of waves, you should try heading out to the big jetty, tons of big nearshore species and the occasional offshore species

We are headed to POC next thursday, we usually launch at the ramp at the end of Byers(forgot the name)and head east into Matagorda Bay. We typically run about 8 miles into the bay, fishing the backside of the peninsula. I think this trip we are going to try our luck going west to San Antonio bay. Reports are good right now for topwater bite. Oyster Lake is also a regular hot spot, but ive never fished the area.
Ill report when we return.

San Antonio bay has some good fishing, but it has a lot of shell reefs that are slightly submerged. Matagorda, and Espiritu Santo are pretty clean to drive across, but not SA.
