Has any one launched from there and fished that stretch of the Trinity?

I haven't launched from there but I have been searching for some places to launch between Lake Worth and downtown Fort Worth or from Lake Benbrook and downtown Fort Worth. Do you know of any places along the river where is is easy to get in and out without sinking in mud unto you neck?

I put in this morning on Trinity below the 183 overpass. There is parking but no easy in and out for my kayak. I paddled south towards Benbrook. I caught six bass all around 2 lbs. Probably won't do that section again. no fun getting in and out of that polluted sinking mud.

You can launch from the stretch below that camp but it is a MAJOR PIA and involves dragging your kayak up a steep cement spillway and then up and over the road/bridge that goes through the camp. I've done it several times but having a light kayak is a must and even then it is a big workout. Some good fish in there though.

Whitesettlement Rd and Isbell Rd. Nice parking lot and a side walk leading down to the water. Plus concrete steps going into the water. Very easy access.

Could you park and put in by Anahuac and Meandering?

Could you park and put in by Anahuac and Meandering? yes that is where I was talking about. It is still a pain to launch from there 2 very steep hills to go up and down. You can fish downstream just fine from there but the other part the OP was talking about is upstream and as you can see on the maps there is a steep spillway and then a road bridge to cross to get back into the good stuff.

Also from looking at the satelite images it looks like the water is way up and flowing pretty good there. might make it dang near impossible to portage up that spillway right now.
