Took my 14 yr old and his school buddies from 3:30 to 8. We caught good numbers but 50 were yellows. Only 5 whites and one hybrid. The lake came up about 6" but you cant hardly tell. I checked at all the structures that I found them a week ago, but nada. The good rain and North wind dropped the water temp to 80 degrees (85 prior week). I burnt lots of gas looking at least 12+ spots. But found yellows everywhere. But the boys didn't care and we all caught fish and they were a happy bunch! North wind made it a very pleasant day with air temp in the 70's to low 80's. smile

There were few sporadic schools at different areas of the lake, 3 to 10 would bust shad up for a few seconds and scattered out. The best spot for us was yankee where I caught the only hybrid and sandies. On the way in at 8pm, there were 6 boats at RP looking to be working schooling fish, I believe. All fish caught on slabs and a couple on mepps.

Harbor Bay Marina was under construction and a huge crane was blocking the ramp until 3pm, and hence the late start.

I had trouble pulling my boat up the ramp cuz there is a groove on the ramp where many trucks/cars has spun their wheels and make it slick and zero tractions. Took me while to figure out to back the boat back down into the water and then go up at a different angle to avoid the slick spot. So be careful guys. HB ramps is "bumpy"! Also, got words Chandlers ramp will reopened Monday, but better call to make sure.

Some pics from Friday. Good luck guys!

Saw you south but didn't get close enough to speak. I too checked several spots marked some fish deep but could get them to bite. I did manage to catch some shallow, 2 RHSA baby hybrids, 6 sandies & 1 yellow. Thought with the cloud cover and cooler water temps it was going to be on for sure but it wasn't. Saw Terry, Frank & Mark and it was slow for them too. on the water at 3 and off at 6:15.

Frank told me you were out, Jeff. Was hoping to find good fish and call the guys over for catch and chat session. But couldn't find them.

That sounds fun, Z. Please post report and pics afterward. I've never walleyed before.

Thanks guys!
