Was fishing Thursday, fri sat. had spillway creek almost all to myself. Where did every body go? Caught several over 20" and had 1 23" sow. great fishing!

Everyone around here believes that if you're not following the stocking truck with a pink Neere Deere, you can't catch fish at Broken Bow. You should have kept quiet & let them keep on believing that!

I have it on good authority that this report is bogus. There are NO TROUT at Beavers Bend!!

My son and I were able to go Wednesday. There were people in our favorite spots on spillway creek but we had the whole evening hole area to ourselves for a couple of hours. Hey JR, they stocked that day but we still did not catch many, I think it is because we stink at fly fishing lol. Sure was fun wet wading in that cool water and trying though. That was my first full day i have taken off since March

Turf dog ,I am in the same business as you, been super busy. I still make time about once a month to go, and I too stink at fly fishing. These fish were just super unlucky

I'm just jealous! I talked myself out of going this weekend. The hoppers will be showing up soon. Fun times!

Split Cane's shot at my Near Deers is wrong. Pink really only works great during the spawning season and not so much in the summer. Right now they want Olive Near Deers.



I as well caught a dozen good ones in Spillway Creek. Would have caught more but the stocking truck was not scheduled to come for a couple days. There are always good fish left in the river. Just not as many in the summer.
