The fishing this weekend has been really good. Yesterday Jimmy Huynh and his group enjoyed a great morning and we boated almost 70 fish. All fish were caught on topwater. Today Corey Mandrell and his group caught about 50 including this big sow. I didn't get a weight on her but I'm guessing between 16-18 lbs. The small fish have been real good on topwaters with a few overs mixed in. The bait bite has been producing lots of overs but numbers haven't been as good. I'm off tomorrow and work a short week before the big holiday weekend. I'll spend next weekend relaxing and enjoying some family time for the fourth. If your coming to the lake be sure to use a designated driver. Game Wardens will be out in full force looking for intoxicated boaters and checking life jackets, fire extinguishers, throwable life preservers , etc... Be careful out there.
