Just curious how the bite has been around east texas. Planning on going on first night trip and hanging til daybreak for an early bite. Fork, Pines, Welch, Martin, Cello, Sandlin, etc. Havent been able to go iun a good while so any info would be appreciated.

This time of year many of the guides will only take night clients. Its getting too hot to stay out all day. I am laid up and cant fish right now, but my neighbors at the lake are night fanatics. They are tearing them up on secondary points and flats adjoining creek chanels. Mainly top water or magnum (10"-14") worms
If you walk around with a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail.

I have never tried it before, whats the best time to get out on the water? Do they usually stay biting at night?

Went out on fork for 3 nights 2 weeks ago.. Caught about 15 slot fish each night.. biggest was 23 3/4... Bite comes in Waves but pretty steady..
