No boat flips for me when they are that big! Net or reach down and grab them if I know they aren't coming off.

Amberlamps, I hear ya. That's definitely the safer method. There are a few adrenaline packed seconds in the midst of the boat flip that make it a pretty wild ride. There's something about getting that big bass' head over the rail and wondering if you've got enough momentum to get the body to follow

Seen too many "furry" bass electrofishing to ever want to do that to a fish. In warm water, carpet wrecks the slime coat which invites various pathogens to chow down on the exposed hide. Nice fish though...
