Just got a new toon (18' bass buggy) I have had heavy ski boats to little flat bottom boats and none had a problem backing into water and floating off. Now this toon is different launched yesterday evening and had my tail pipe about 10" under water and my lake is plenty full. My truck is factory height how can I fix this anybody else have this problem with this model toon? Do I need to get a drop hitch and lower the tongue? Plz help

Sounds like the ramp was too flat. I have just the opposit problem where I launch, it is too steep and when I retrieve the boat the bow goes under the winch. You might try raising the hitch, don't think lowering it will help. b

If I'm not fishing or hunting I'm hunting a place to fish or hunt.

Vehicle and Trailer need to be as close to level with each other, or in other words at the same relative angle to much rise at the hitch will have the trailer to steep and drag the motor too much drop will have the adverse effect and the rear of the boat will have to lift to exit the trailer. Too much of one could be as bad as the other.

Don't put your trailer in so deep. Problem will be solved. Try it next time it happens.

Been researching this off diff forums seems I need to either extend my hitch or shorten my bunks. The ramp is plenty steep, it's that my boat sits so high with a short tongued trailer. Going to fab a 4' extension for my receiver put it on before I launch and take off when I tow. I know sounds like a PIA but got do something get my brakes and rear end out of the water
