Hey I'm wanting to go chase some stripers up at Texoma this weekend does anyone want to join? It's been a couple weeks since I've been up there so don't have a set place in mind of where to put in at any suggestions and is a.m. or p.m. bite better right now?

Where & when are you planning on launching?

I was orignally planning on putting in at highport and being on the water a little before sunup, unless anyone else has any other suggestions.

As it gets closer, I may be in. If there are enough folks, I would consider a couple launching at dam and a couple at ESP (or maybe burns run) and stay in touch via phone. Most fish are coming from deeper water during the day but will run the shallows early and late. IMO, they are not really in the summer pattern yet and some guides are saying they still have to do a lot of running to find them......so the more water you can cover, the better. I expect this weekend will be a zoo hence my lack of commitment.

Ya I was originally wanting to go to Cooper but it sounds like the fishing is still pretty bad out there.

I've seen some decent reports from Cooper but also that water is still pretty muddy - I just haven't had the motivation to make it out that way but needing to. Lee is the go-to Cooper guy.......maybe he has a recent report? Not sure how crowded it is getting now with boat ramps open.

I'll be at Eisenhower State Park Saturday morning for the Learn to Fly Fish Event.
We don't finish until around 1:00 PM. I may seek you guys out afterwards.

fool, sounds great.......I am 80% confident I'll make it. So far, I think we have you, me, bird and I think hanks and Christian are considering it. I think Dean (district paddle) and a friend may be able to go as well.

I'm in for early fishing. I'll be out there Saturday afternoon too, but will be dragging a 13 yr old around on a wakeboard instead of kayak fishing. If I see any fish on the graph, I'll throw a rope out and daisy-chain you guys to them. That would make for a cool video! #thrillride

So far we have Hank, Christian, Mike, Birdman and myself meeting at 5am at ESP launch and Jerry hooking up later. Plenty of room for more......it's a big lake. I started a PM contact page so we ensure we have everyone's phone/text info. If you want to go, let one of us know and we can give you contact info of others.

BTW, I think a few if not all of us may take a midday break for lunch/siesta and then do an afternoon/eve run. I also want to work in some black bass fishing and maybe some after dark marina fishing.
