I think that everyone that was at the CAT Junior Anglers Tournament yesterday could actually feel the smiles!!! What a great day to devote to the kids!!! Here are just a few of the photos of how the day unfolded and closed!! Congrats to ALL the anglers because there truly was NO second place at this event!!! Two young ladies have pending crappie lake records-now how cool is that?????? I hope others in attendance will chime in!!! Once again, CAT just does a bang up job, just ask the kids!!!!!!!!

Great turn out with 17 junior anglers. Some may have wondered why Lake Winnsboro was picked for this event. There were no junior angler records for this lake. So now paperwork is going in for both black crappie (1.34) and white crappie (1.56) lake records. Also, there is no white crappie record, so the white crappie will also be the overall lake record.

But having a lake record was just a little cherry on top. The smiles on the faces as the fish were toted to the scales were priceless. The weigh in at this event is run just like the big boys event with Paul O'Bier and Pat Martin manning the scales and Paul doing the announcing. Every fish is treated like it weighed 3 lbs. And there were LOTS of prizes; every junior got at least two. You can't attend this event and not feel good when you leave.

Great job!! These pictures alone are well worth the $25 dues to belong to such a great organization!

Getting to be a part of this CAT Jr Angler Tournament was a great experience. All of the kids were really excited for each other. They were all winners Saturday afternoon! Thanks to CAT and all the volunteers that gave freely of their time and experience! My G-Daughter is still talking about Pat, all the things he taught her AND the Nice Man that is going to "put her fish on a log".
