Hey guys, wondering how the surf fishing is going and how bad the seaweed is. Any clear places to go for the weekend?

they have it piled up as tall or taller than the seawall in Galveston. at least three to four feet deep all over beaches. yucky stuff, even if its good for the beaches.

Looking at surf reports and cams along Galveston seawall, surf looks nice, calm and pretty flat. But thr damn seaweed is still coming in hard it looks like.
Made plans to do some fishing this weekend. Seems like everttime i try and do some surf fishing for specs its always to choppy and looks like choclate milk, now its freakin seaweed. Guess its the bay side this weekend unless a miracle happens

The seaweed has let up. Most of the seaweed has washed off the beach. There is is still a lot but it is disappearing fast. I fished a spoon with a treble hook at Surfside Beach yesterday evening and it took 30 minutes before I hooked and brought in a piece of seaweed.

I am in surfside this weekend with my brothers and dad. Did a guided trip this morning and also fished in the surf , and the seaweed was horrible. Alsmost every cast got caught up in some weed. Wasnt as bad on the boat , as it was in the surf.
