Having a tough time deciding between the 70 THRUST V2 Drive and 80 thrust st riptide , I was told I could get the 70 or the 80 thrust in a 60" shaft with the 70 being the V2 or the 80 in the riptide st model. my boat is a 19 ft center console that weighs about 1450 plus motor that weighs about 335 or so add in gear and three guys your looking at total weight of about 2800 pds. with the 2 pounds of thrust for every 100 pounds I mam looking good at anything over 56 pounds of thrust, my 55 thrust riptide manual seems to work fine now but want to upgrade. I guess what I am asking is if 300 bucks to go for 80 over the 70 is worth is or should i just use that money to get good batteries.. Not sure if I will go to saltwater more than once a year so riptide is not a must

A lot of people say U can never have to much thrust but i wonder how negligible the difference is since they both have basically the same other features...

Dropping money left and right to upgrade this boat and any advice helps!
