My ex-wife and son got me 6 rebel squarebills for a little early Father's Day. They were only $1.50 a peice witch isn't bad imo. They look pretty good besides the hooks which I'll change to tripplegrips anyway. Any one use them? How deep do they dive? They look the size of a 1.5 and they picked out great colors! Bone,chart blue back, and chart black back. I won't get to try them till next week so I'm like an antsy kid who wants to open his toys.

Aren't they 'shallow diving' baits? Shallow: 4-8' ??????

They did for me. I've thrown them twice, for about an hour or so each time, once in a pond and once at Lewisville. All I caught were small guys, nothing over 3lbs, but I caught 4 or 5 on it each time. Be sure to change the hooks, those stock ones are cruddy. I put #4 long shank round bends on it and had no problems.

Oh. My only complaint is they float up REALLY fast. I know some guys like that, but I like ones that kinda meander up. I'm gonna try them with a suspendadot on top of the head and see if that helps any. . .

Are these the same ones as the Rebel Crank'r? The ones that I bought spiral like football when cast. They also run around 4 ft on 15 lb line.

They will run about 4 feet on 15lb fluorocarbon. I have about 20 of them in bone, chartreuse blue back, and crawdad. They have kind of a unique wobble. They are kind of cheap though and the line tie moves a lot so the square bill will come out of tune a lot. i like them a lot and on pickwick lake in alabama and some lakes in oklahoma have caught many 3-5 pound largemouth and smallmouth on the bone color.

They work great and have been made since the 70s.You bought the newer foreign made ones but people collect and pay a little more $$ for the older ones like these.The newer ones do seem to havebetter rattles.

Heres the next bigger size a shallow R I believe this is the size you got probably at wal mart for that price.This is an old one also but not as old as the 1st pic.All good fish catchers.
