Hi Fellow Anglers, Went to the lake and fished for 30 minutes and my Ipilot was out of juice. I charged the batteries for two days. Went home and plugged in the charger and it's showed charging. 6 hours later it showed it's fully charged for both batteries. So I grabbed my voltmeter and checked the voltage on both batteries. One battery showed 13.2 volts and the other one showed 9.6 volts. Now the 9.6 volt battery is brand new because I thought my old battery was bad but now it's good after I trickle charged with my home charger. So my conclusion is the issue is with the onboard charger. I went ahead and trickle charged the new battery and now it's showing 13 volts and it's good. My question is why would the onboard charger only charged one battery but not the other when it's wired in series for 24 volts trolling motor? All connections are good, cleaned, and tightened. Cables are good. This is on a new 2013 Deep-V 18'. They replaced the onboard charger once when it burnt out last year. Any one here know the reason why it's charging only one battery? Thank your for any help. Here is a picture of my onboard charger:

Might want to check to see if you have a in-line fuse that's out. I have a three bank charger, 24volts, an each circuit has its own fuse. If one blows you will not charge that battery properly. If on-board charger is bad or something wrong with it, then all the batteries will be weak.

Some on board chargers now a days are junk.I had the same problem, and got a new one,and the problem went away. I always read the reviews on one before I buy one. They are just about all Made In China ! Just like everything today you can only hope for the best???

Checked fuses are good. Checked voltage reading with voltmeter. One of the banks showed no voltage reading so it's bad. I just barely had this new charger less then 7 months. Bummer...warranty is over and now I've to cough up for new charger. Thanks for the help.

Seems like most of them now days are junk. my Minn Kota is going on 3 years, so Ive been happy with it so far, check around at your local boat shop's I got mine cheap in a close out sale it's a 315D 3 bank 5amp it works for me I don't really need the 10amp charge rate, plus Minn Kota has a pretty good warranty and there customer service is not too bad either,

I thought that the CSI/Dual Pro chargers had a two or three year warranty? Call the factory if you haven't already.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the Dual Pro chargers are made in America in Tn.

Thank you for your helpful informations. The dealer replaced the charger under warranty and they didn't give me a receipt or documentation for it. So if I called them up I shouldn't have any problems you think? I'll give them a call tomorrow any way. Thanks again for all the help.
