Cedar Creek June 3rd with Milton Meadows, Eric Emeritz and Jodie Foster. Today our luck changed as we caught 43 keepers and only 42 throwbacks. Past several trips to Cedar Creek, Lake Waco and Navarro Mills resulted in twice or more throwbacks than keepers. Fish caught in brush piles in 12 to 20 feet on blue clear shadpole and red body chartreuse tail Jake.

Nice job Doyle!
Matt and I decided to try Palestine yesterday just to see if the ratio would be any better than CCL. It was! The total count was down but, the quality was way up. Had 39 on the counter and kept 22 nice size crappie. We gave them to an elderly couple fishing near the ramp and made their day! Ratio on CCL has been running 3 or 4 short fish to every keeper. All fish caught on brushpile in 12 to 15' of water using mostly shadpoles and jokers.
