Went to Wal-Mart in Las Colinas on my lunch hour today, and the 'greeter' at the Gardening/Outdoors entrance asked me "Do you fish?" After replying yes, he said "They got a clearance bin with 10 cent lures and stuff over there."
20 minutes later, I walked out with $6.00 worth of gear including 50+ jig heads, 100+ plastic jigs in various colors, lots of hooks, worms, Strike King spinner baits, carolina rigs, swivel clasps, and beetle spins. My 'average cost per lure' ended up being around 2-3 cents each.
You might want to see if other Wal-Marts are similarly clearing out inventory to make room for new stuff.
I'm a happy camper.

I see the dollar bin regularly, but have never seen 10 cent lures! I'll check out my local Walmart.
