Hey guys, Ill be in South Padre Island the 9th-16th for my buddy's wedding. I am curious if you can drive, fish, and camp on the beach there. I know you can in PINS, but not sure about actual South Padre Island, any insight would be appreciated.

I'm sure you can. I did it a long time ago when I was young. Just be safe and camp next to your truck.

take beach access #5 then drive north, the end is at east cut which is about an hour beach driving.

My cousin stayed out there by beach access #6 and caught pampano and wightings
