 Bug Spray on new Lowrance case and screen???

I took my boys fishing the other night and the bugs were pretty tough, so he sprayed some OFF on his arms and legs.....and accidently got some overspray on my new Lowrance.
I didnt notice it that night, but the next morning I have a bunch of white spots on the case and the screen that I cant seem to get off?
Does anyone have any suggestions for a cleaner that will work to remove these white spots?

Man I hope you can find something that will remove the spots but it sounds like it may be chemical burns to the clear coating on the screen. I'd contact Lowrance before I did anything at this point to see if they have any suggestions.

Kind of makes you wonder about spraying that stuff on your skin. Try Windex Multi-Surface. Actually the only thing that was recommended by Humminbird with my finders. Good Luck.

Man bug spray wiped the finish clean off the wood on my old remington 870! Hope it's a simple fix but that stuff can be pretty gnarly.

"off" can actually melt some ordinary plastics. Much like the old plastic worm and "non" worm proof tackle boxs. Ya'll remember that? I already made the "off" and plastic mistake years ago. Sorry, it may be permanent.

The same thing will happen with spray on sunscreens. I have read about many screens ruined due to overspray.

Jeff You can "fix" the housing by rubbing it with WD-40 to restore the oils lost from the spray (white spots). Your display------------------------not so much. The solvents will destroy the screen's anti-reflective coating. #1 rule---NO SPRAY ANYTHING on the boat.

I use a misture of water with a few drops of Dawn in it, and it cleans my screens very nicely, hope it works for you.

I tried everything when this happened on my last boat. Nothing worked. I don't know if it was the spray sunscreen or bugspray, but the white dots wouldn't come off. I even put a shop towel soaked in vinegar and let it set for 24 hours. It didn't work either.

Hate to hear that but yeah bug spray and plastic don't go together, I heard of an old boy who melted his contact lense in his eye when some of it blew that direction....bad situation
