My wife ask me to take her to Twok a few weeks ago.So we went out this morning met Filetmaker at the State Park.Saw Mix on the water , and finally met Jimmy Smith at the ramp coming off the water. We kept a limit of sandbass, and 2 cats.Caught a lot of Hybrid, and Striper they were just only about 12" long. Saw a little surface action going on with the overcast day. Finally left with a Rain Storm getting us off the water.Would have liked to fished the LTSA tournament tomorrow, just have to work I guess...I will give some more details tomorrow after the tournament.

Myself,my wife, my two boys , and Al(AKA One Link Stringer)Went out yesrerday I was going to check out the pump station out after putting in at the State Park. We anchored right off the shallow water after I pulled up , and could see fish In the water.I told everyone there are fish here. We threw the slabs that I make, and started hooking up right off the bat.Almost all the fish came up spitting up 1-2 inch minnows so we tried to match the hatch with small slabs, and #3 In line spiners. After a while of catching the bigger Sandbass had stoped. The smaller Hybrids moved in right off the end of the keep out markers. They came up boiling after catching them for a while we decided to go in search for larger fish.We started moving to Points, and stoping when we saw surfacing fish.We stoped here , and there just never got into anything larger than 12 inch hybrids. Every now , and then nice sandbass would get mixed in.We had a good time lots of laughs we were making our way to the dam , and stopped on the humps , and found a lot of fish surfacing they were all just small.I would hope the shad make a rebound or all the fish that are being stocked are going to be food. Most larger fish we caught early 2-10 FOW on small baits. We stayed till the storm was about on us made it to the boat ramp just in time to get out of the rain.Sorry Sea Pro Todd would have helped ya out sooner If I could have brother.Figured probably was not the best Idea to give a more detailed report the day before the tourny.Mabey it will help some others now that it is over.

I could have pinged ya for the 411, MJ. But the huntN process was just as fun. We targetted many shallow spots for the worthy sandies. But found very little shad or sandies. It has been a strange year. Bait bite seems early this year too. Oh well there is always next year. grin

Is the state park ramp only ramp you can used right now? or is the ramp good at the bridge (2 mile bridge)

Open ramps are anchor inn, 751 (can be steep) and state park, none at 2 mile

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

State Park is in the best shape for a larger boat right now. Holladay , and 751 are open 751 is very steep, and still close to the end of the ramp for me.IMO Holladay has to much stuff underwater to avoid.Anchor Inn has one that had a hole at the end of it , and is more than likely OK now.

Nice meeting you MJ we didnt make it back to the ramp in time to avoid the rain. We came in for a couple of hours and went back out about 5 and fished until dark. Saturday was about the same as friday we caught about 75 fish and did start to cull the smaller sandbass for the weigh in. We found most of our bigger sandbass in deeper water fishing shallow. Crazy I know!
