Just received my Wilderness Ride 115X and starting to do some installations. The Lowrance Elite 4 HDI was pretty easy to install. It did take a little while to get all the wires to sit in the carrier but they will a go in with some extra internal room to spare. I made the wires going to the positive and negative terminals a little longer so I do not have to take the battery out to charge it. The transducer fits very flush with the the bottom of the kayak so there should be little worries on damage. This weekend will be a good test run to see how the kayak handles on the water and to test the fish finder. Tight lines. JP

i just got a 115x about a month ago. Ive had it out 5 times i think, and in some rough water at Lavon. It is amazingly stable and still paddles really well imo.
I'm about to buy a fish finder, so I may have some questions for you when I install. I like that you dont have to take the battery out to charge.
Which battery did you buy?

I will get some full pictures of the yak up late this weekend. It is mango. I wanted a bright color. I like how you ran the wires through the top of the caddy. I actually might do that too.

Has anyone installed a fish finder on a Ride 115X and used some kind of extension so the fish finder is closer to the seat. It looks like the fish finder is a long way from the seat and would be hard to see or to reach without getting out of the seat. Any ideas on how to use the console for the transducer and battery but getting the fish finder closer to the seat?

Yeah your right about them being a bit far away but I have just been sliding my seat all the way up and leaning forward and that has been enough for me but I do have fairly long arms. I don't do a whole lot on tinkering with my FF once I have it set initially but if I did want it closer I would probably look into a RAM fishfinder mount. Lots of ways to adjust those including being able to pivot it forward.
