They are at their best around heavy cover (rocks & stumps) and if you cast as tight as you need to your going to hit some of it and they are prone to break when you do. Just part of it, I don't consider it to be any different than losing a few tungsten weights on a trip. I have a box of 30-40 SB's with broken bills or ones that sink so I have a regular habit of making the almost perfect cast. As far as sending them back to Strike King for replacement, I'm the one making the cast and will continue to pay for the poor casts.

I've broken several. If your not breaking one every once in a while, your not fishing them correctly or enough.
