Caught over 20 bass fishing till 12:30. All bass caught on shakey head green pumpkin and green pumkin magic trick worms and magnum trick worms. Only a Couple bass over 4. Fished rock on the dam. Discharge and intake. 10 to 15 ft.

Thanks for the report. I have never spent much time at the discharge to figure the pattern. Too crowded in cold weather and too hot most other times. Need to learn to have more options.

It's never too hot for discharge. I've sat there in August with surface temps reading 109 and I just smoked them. It's all about the conditions and location location location.

One thing about the discharge is the fish in that area have to feed more often. Higher metabolism.

Yeah but you catch 20 dinks to each 14" fish. We used to have a "Under slot" tournament the day before our regular club tournament when we fished Fayette. My partner and I weighed in 10 fish, 8.2 lbs, and were not even close to the money. Most everyone was camped on the discharge.

I fished fayette this past friday. Got on the water aroudn 12:30pm and fished till dark. Ended the day with 41 in the boat. Most of my fish were caught less than 10 FOW on cranks and the A-rig. Fayette is fishing good right now.

We fished it Friday as well. Been 25 years since I have been on that lake and it hasn't changed much. My partner had never fished it. We started the day at Coleto and got tired of catching the same old fish so we loaded the boat and hit the ramp at Fayette about 12:30 as well. We stayed til 6:30 since I had to work the next day and it was a 3 hour drive home. I bet we put 50 in the boat and only fished a couple of coves. We laughed about the drive on the way home and realized we could have fished falcon with all the driving we did that day. Fayette sure is a pretty lake and smaller then I remember.

Nicely done Ranger. With the shad spawn going on fayette is on right now. Glad ya'll caught them. Coleto has a ton aof small fish that you have to weed through to get to the bigger ones. You could have easily made the run to Falcon with the hours ya'll put in. Thanks for the story.
